To the Library and Beyond Let’s be happy to welcome January of the newest of years to date. Perhaps we may enjoy a week of respite from designated days, but – of course – never from the on-going efforts to continue, to advance, and – if humanly possible – to prosper. Most nonprofit organizations begin planning their fundraising events four to six months in advance. Prairie Community Library has previously begun their year’s fundraising plans in January to ensure adequate support for a large event. For those whose thoughts turn to fundraising galas, the Board has guidelines and almost endless opportunities for you and your friends to perform that work-weary “magic.” The volunteers who manage Prairie Community Library endeavor to maintain a basic and transparent operation. We also value commitment to action and alliances, improving our associations with partners and projects that complement our mission and purpose. We want you to know that we are committed to supporting those who support Prairie Community Library. We invite our patrons to recommend improvements to the organization’s direction, priorities, and customer service when we reopen. If you should discover that you still have items checked out from the Library, please return them to the drop box at the back, north end of the Community Hall building. |
