Patriots boys win 1 of 3, girls win 1 of 2
St. John Bosco apparently picked up a couple of extra games at Coeur d’Alene Friday, Dec. 29 with the girls beat a Catholic school from Coeur d’Alene by a score of 43-7 while the boys lost a pair of games, no scores available.
On Saturday, Jan. 6 St. John Bosco hosted Salmon River at Highland in Craigmont. The boys picked up their first win since their season opener, 69-49, while the girls team lost by 1 point, no score available.
Boys vs. Salmon River
Salmon River had just 5 players suited up and was coming off a loss at Nezperce the night before.
The Patriots led just 14-12 after the first quarter but pulled away to a 32-22 lead by halftime. The Patriots poured it on in the third quarter outscoring the Savages 20-8 to take a 52-30 lead into the fourth quarter.
Salmon River outscored St. John Bosco by 2 in the final quarter.
Levi Wassmuth and Stallone Hoene each had 20 points to lead the Patriots in scoring. Cody Weckman was also in double figures with 11 points. Sam Weckman scored 6. Noah Beckman and Nathan Wassmuth scored 4 each while Connor Nuxoll and Tommy Rose scored 2 each.
The Patriots are now 2-7 on the season. They are 0-4 in league play.
