Prairie boys to start District play Thursday
Contrary to what we were told earlier, the #6 seeded Prairie boys basketball team will open District play on Thursday, Feb.15 at 6 p.m. at #3 seeded Kamiah.
Other first round games have #1 Lapwai hosting #8 Genesee, #2 Potlatch hosting #7 C.V. and #4 Logos hosting #5 Troy.
All four second round game will be held Monday, Feb. 19 at Lewiston High School.
The Lapwai-Genesee and Troy-Logos losers will play at 1 p.m. while the Prairie-Kamiah and Potlatch-C.V. losers will play at 2:30 p.m.
The Lapwai-Genesee and Troy-Logos winners will play at 4 p.m. and the Prairie-Kamiah and Potlatch-C.V. winners will play at 5:30 p.m.
Two more loser-out games will be played Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 4:30 and 8 p.m. Apparently there will be a Lewiston High boys district game in between.
There will be another loser-out game at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 followed by the District Championship game at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday’s early winner will play the championship game loser on Friday at 8 p.m. for second place and a trip to State.
State will be at Vallivue High School in Caldwell Feb. 29-March 2.
