ICSO makes felony arrests
The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office made the following felony arrests this past weekend: On March 9, at approximately 6:45 p.m., an Idaho County Deputy was on a routine traffic stop in White Bird. While speaking with the drive, a male pedestrian crossed the street and was standing in the oncoming lane, ignoring verbal commands to wait on the sidewalk until the deputy could speak with him. After completing the traffic stop, the deputy then spoke to the mail. During the interaction, the male was determined to be under the influence, and resisted when he was advised he was under arrest. While attempting to place him in handcuffs, the male hit the deputy with a closed fist to the head. Kasper Harvey, age 35, of White Bird, was arrested for aggravated battery on an officer, misdemeanor intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway, and two counts of misdemeanor resisting and obstructing an officer. Kasper Harvey One March 10, at approximately 8:00 p.m., an Idaho County Deputy was on routine patrol in the city of Kooskia. He stopped a pickup pulling a trailer with no license plate. After contacting the driver, Idaho County Dispatch advised he had an active felony warrant out of Hawaii and was taken into custody. While searching the vehicle incident to arrest, a meth pipe and methamphetamine were located. Nikolas Chase, age 41, of St. Maries, was arrested for a felony warrant out of Hawaii for first degree theft, and felony possession of methamphetamine.
