The Prairie Booster Club offers several scholarships to graduating seniors at Prairie High School. They are listed below with the requirements. Prairie Booster Club Scholarships The purpose of this
scholarship is to provide graduates of Prairie High School recognition
and financial support in pursuit of a post secondary academic or
vocational education.(Sponsored by Prairie Booster Club) Three Prairie High graduates will each be awarded a $300 scholarship. Graduate’s family must be current Booster Club members (dues paid). These policies will be reviewed on an annual basis. Qualities being considered are as follows: Leadership, Civic Involvement, Respect of Others, Volunteer Activities, Extracurricular Participation, Academic Achievement and Work Ethic. Eligibility requirements: Open to all graduating seniors of Prairie High School who have a cumulative minimum grade point average of 2.2 or higher and plan to attend a college or university immediately after graduation from high school. Information Required (Please use a separate sheet of paper) Name Address Parents Names Verified GPA Certificate from Prairie High School List of College or University choices List of employment, including positions and dates held List of volunteer and community participation List of activities during high school years including extra-curricular participation List special talents you possess List career goals Explain briefly how you plan to help finance your education State briefly what accomplishments you are most proud of Include a letter of recommendation from someone other than an immediate relative, such as a Prairie District employee, minister or community leader Application Deadline: Third Monday of April Please turn you applications and accompanying paperwork in tot the Counselor’s Office. Scholarships may be claimed by providing proof of college registration to the Booster Club’s President or Secretary. MAURICE SHINN SPORTSMANSHIP SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Prairie Booster Club) The purpose of this scholarship
