Junior High Track competes at 4 meets
The Prairie Junior High Track team has competed in 4 meets so far this season. They started at the KMS Meet at Kamiah on Thursday, April 11. Their next meet was the Prairie Junior High Meet on Thursday, April 18. They competed again at Kamiah on Thursday, April 25 then competed at the Grangeville Battle on the Hill on Saturday, April 27.
KMS Meet
Phineas Fitch won 2 events at the first junior high track meet of the season. He won the 800 in 2:27.20 and the 1600 in 5:29.39. He was also 2nd in the high jump at 4’8”.
Mia Anderson and Macie Uhlenkott were the top girls finishers, each with a 2nd place finish. Anderson was 2nd in the long jump at 13’4¼”. She was also 5th in the 100 in 14.21. Uhlenkott was 2nd in the discus at 64’5”. She was also 6th in the shot put at 24’7”.
The boys team also won 2 relays. Cooper Riener, Matt Frei, Carson Lockart and Marshall Weber won the 4x200 relay in 1:58.59 and Fitch, Nathan Weber, Marshall Weber and Matthew Jones won the 4x400 relay in 4:27.40.
Also taking first place was the girls 4x200 relay team of Anderson, Tori Shears, Fath Cash and Reagan Brannan in 2:03.69.

Prairie Meet
Fitch and Elven each won individual events at the Prairie Meet for the boys team while Macie Uhlenkott was an event winner for the girls team.
Fitch won the 800 in 2:30.19 and was 2nd in the 1600 in 5:18.82. He was also 3rd in the high jump at 4’6”.
Elven won the Discus at 101’1”.
Macie Uhlenkott won the Discus at 78’5”. She was also 6th in the shot put at 26’8”
The boys 4x400 team of Fitch, N. Weber, Riener and M. Weber won in 4:19.47.
The girls 4x200 team of Anderson, T. Shears, Rambo and Brannan won in 2:01.72.
The girls 4x400 team of Brannan, T. Shears, B. Shears and Anderson won in 4:58.74.

KMS Meet 4-25
Fitch in the boys 1600 and Rambo in the girls pole vault were Prairie’s only individual winners at the April 25 meet at Kamiah.
Fitch won the 1600 in 5:05.31. He was also 6th in the high jump at 4’6”.
Rambo won the pole vault at 6’0” to set a school record as it is the first time a Prairie Jr. High athlete competed in the event.
The girls 4x200 team of Anderson, T. Shears, Rambo and Brannan took first with a time of 2:00.85.

Grangeville Meet
At the Grangeville Battle on the Hill Meet Fitch won 2 events while Tori Shears, Aubree Riener and Harlee Hanson each won 1.
Fitch won the 800 in 2:21.0 and the 1600 in 5:11.2.  He was also tied for 2nd in the high jump at 4;’8”.
Tori Sheas was the 400 in 1:08.8. She was also 4th in the 200 in 31.3 and tied for 7th in the 100 in 14.8.
Riener won the 800 in 2:48.6. She was also 2nd in the high jump at 4’6” and 9th in the 100 in 32.4.
Hanson was 1st in the discus at 62’7”. She was also 3rd in the shot put at 28’4½” and 11th in the 400 in 1:24.2.
The girls also had 2 4x200 relay teams tie for first place. The teams of Schacher, Hanson, Kaschmitter and Fowler and Remacle, Cash, Rambo and Tori Shears each had a time of 2:06.5.
