To the Library and Beyond
Preparations are underway for the Grand Re-Opening of Prairie Community Library!  Come join us on Thursday, July 18th for fun and games.  Soon we will be featuring an “author of the month,” highlighting a book by that author each week.  "Service is what life is all about."
During July our volunteer staff will continue caring for personnel.  This is also the month to Read An Almanac.
Sunday 21 July is celebrated nationally as Ice Cream Day, Junk Food Day, or Be Somebody Day; any combination of those three is compatible.  Monday 22 July is observed nationally as Be A Good Teammate Day or Hammock Day; if you can find a competition involving hammocks, you can do both.  Tuesday 23 July is National Gorgeous Grandma Day!  Wednesday – Amelia Earhart and Jennifer Lopez were both born on 24 July.  Thursday 25 July is National Wine and Cheese Day.  Or if you follow the Mayan Calendar, it is The Day Out Of Time, the last day of the Mayan year.  Friday 26 July is National Aunt and Uncle Day.  Saturday 27 July is Take Your Houseplant For A Walk Day; I did not make that up!
In 2021 Prairie Community Library welcomed 2,075 patrons in the Library; in 2022 we loaned 1,518 children’s items.
The volunteer staff of Prairie Community Library value integrity and trustworthiness; we aspire to earn your trust.
Volunteering helps us explore our interests and improves self-esteem.  Send your volunteer message to cottonwoodlib@gmail.com.  Please recommend improvements to the Library’s direction, priorities and customer service.  Thank you all!
