Arrest made
On August 11, 2024, at approximately 6:21
PM, the Idaho County Dispatch center received a call of a road rage
incident where a male subject had shot multiple rounds into the
reporting party’s vehicle. Idaho County Deputies were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, deputies met with the reporting party and several witnesses where it was discovered that the reporting parties had been driving on Big Salmon Road when the suspect pulled out in front of them. The reporting party honked her horn at the suspect vehicle and the male in the suspect vehicle leaned out the driver’s window with a black pistol in his hand, pointed the pistol in the direction of the two females and discharged the firearm. The suspect then stopped his vehicle, exited his vehicle and discharged several more rounds into the vehicle while threatening the two females. Upon arrest, the suspect gave a false name. He refused to cooperate with detention staff and they were unable to complete the booking process. On the morning of August 12, 2024, the suspect gave different information and his identity was then confirmed by tattoos and booking photos. Thomas C. Ferrari, age 54, of San Diego, California, was arrested for felony aggravated assault X4, felony unlawful discharge of firearm at an occupied vehicle, felony malicious injury to property, felony unlawful possession of a firearm by convicted felon, felony altercation or concealment of evidence and misdemeanor providing false information to law enforcement. Ferrari was also arrested on a felony warrant out of San Diego County, California. Thomas Ferrari |
