This is Homecoming Week This week is Homecoming Week at Prairie High School. Hall decorating was done this past Friday and Saturday. There are dress up days all week. Monday was Pajama Day. Tuesday was color day with seniors in black, juniors in pink, sophomores in red, freshmen in blue and 7th/8th grade in neon. Wednesday is Adam Sandler Day. We assume that means dress up as Adam in one of his movies. Thursday is Generations Day with seniors’ theme being 20-40’s; juniors, 50’s-60’s; sophomores, 70’s-90’s; freshmen, 2000’s; 7th/8th, future. Friday is Spirit Day. Also scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18 are the Powder Puff Football game at 6 p.m. at the football field and Powder Puff Volleyball starting at 7:15 in the Elementary Gym. The Homecoming Parade will lineup at Gem Builders at 5:45 and get underway at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. It will go along Main Street, turn up King St. and follow the 95 Business Loop until turning at East Street to head for the football field. The football game is against Kamiah and is set to start at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime and the float winners will also be named at that time. A Homecoming Dance will be at the High School Cafeteria and run from 9:30 to 11:30. Homecoming King candidates are the senior athletes: Dylan Uhlenkott, Briggs Rambo, Matt Wemhoff, Jake Quintal, Carter Shears and Peter Remacle from the football team and Logan Weber and Collin Ray from the co-op soccer with Grangeville. Queen candidates, all seniors, are Senior representative-Lexi Schumacher; Junior representative-Aubree Rehder; Sophomore representative-Grace Uhlenkott and Freshman representative-Clarise Rehder. Float themes are Cage the Kubs for the Seniors; Cook the Kubs for the Juniors; Club the Kubs for the sophomores and Chain the Kubs for the freshmen.
