Members of the St. Gertrude’s Academy Class of 1969 recently gathered to celebrate their 55^th class reunion. Only a few of them had changed since graduation day.
On Friday evening, a group of 29 grads and guests met at the Keuterville Pub and Grub for visiting and eating. On Saturday afternoon 26 gathered at Rodonna’s in Cottonwood to visit and eat again.
Coming from a distance, Washington classmates were Verna Schumacher Phakoo of Veradale, Diane Bergey Kemppainen, Seattle, Randy Lustig, Moses Lake, and Carole Uptmor McDowell, Bremerton. Also attending were Pat Uhlenkott O’Halloran of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cecilia Rousseau Bruchez, Broomfield, Colorado, and Theresa Rousseau Mazade, Victor, Montana.
Several guests came from the Boise area including Debbie Kuther McCulley, Kathy Schmidt Sivey and Jim Schaff.
From the Lewiston and Clarkston valley area there was Jane Steiger McLaughlin and Jackie Weisz Forsmann. Arlene Schumacher Perrine came from Nezperce, and Lyle Kuther wandered over from Craigmont.
Classmates attending from the Cottonwood, Greencreek, Keuterville, and Ferdinand areas were Felix and Sherry Hoene Nuxoll, Joyce Seubert Goeckner, Cathy Hattrup Bross, Jeanne Rousseau Wimer, Ted Schmidt, Allen Frei and Ed Wemhoff. A special guest was Connie Forsmann, wife of classmate Dan Forsmann, who passed away in 2015.
Apparently, everyone had a great time, as it was suggested that SGA69 meet again in two and a half years instead of in five years. Go Panthers!
