District volleyball starts Saturday
The 1A and 2A District Volleyball Tournaments will both get underway on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the LCSC Activity Center.
The 2A tournament starts first with a pair of matches between and #1 and #8 seeds and the #4 and #5 seeds at 9 a.m. The #3 vs. #6 and #2 vs. #7 matches will follow at 11 a.m.
Prairie is the #4 seed and they would play #5 Lapwai at 9a.m. Saturday.
The first two loser out matches will also take place on Saturday at 3 p.m. The two winners bracket matches will take place on Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 and 8 p.m.
The second round of loser out matches will take place on Tuesday Oct. 22 at 6:30 and 8 p.m. Those 2 winners will play at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. That will be followed by the championship match at 7:30 p.m. The winner of the 6 p.m. match will play the championship match loser at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 for 2nd place and a trip to State.
State will be at Jerome High School on October 31-November 2.
The 1A tournament starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 with the #4 vs. #5 and #3 vs. #6 matches. Those winners will play again at 5 p.m. against the #1 and #2 seeds while the losers will play again at 7 p.m. against the 5 p.m. losers.
St. John Bosco will be the #3 seed and they will play Highland in the opening round. That match is at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The two undefeated teams from Saturday will play at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 followed by the 2 late winners from Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The loser of the 6 p.m. Monday game will play the winner of the 7:30 p.m. game on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m.
Tuesday’s winner will play for the championship on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The winner will advance to State while the loser will play Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene High School in a play-in game against the District 1 champion for a trip to State.
State will be at Canyon Ridge High School in Twin Falls on Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
