Cross Country teams compete at State The Prairie cross country team competed at the State Meet held at Eagle Island State Park near Eagle, ID on Saturday, Nov. 2. Prairie’s top finisher was Evelyn Gehring, who finished 32nd in 22:49.32. She led the girls team to an 8th place finish with 190 points. The girls had to battle through a hailstorm that hit about a third of the way into their race. Ella McLeod finished 43rd in 23:56.59. Reagan Brannan finished 51st in 25:20.91. Callie Remacle finished 56th in 25:47.16. Lillianne Lustig finished 59th in 26:48.70. Bella Musick finished 65th in 34:35.15. The boys top finisher was Phineas Fitch who placed 48th in 19:12.96. He led the team to a 13th place finish. Chase VonBargen place 64th in 19:48.71. Matthew Jones was 93rd in 21:24.57. Kento Morita was 96th in 21:50.60. Kade Hansen was 107th in 23:44.79. Landon Riener and Gabe Decaria also ran but placings and times were unavailable.   Evelyn Gehring and Ella McLeod were the girls top finishers at State. A hailstorm came up during the reace and you can see the hailstones coming down, particularly in Ella's photo.   Phineas Fitch, who went for a more aerodynamic look for state, and Chase VonBargen were the boys top finishers at State.   Reagan Brannan and Callie Remacle run through the hail.
