build toys, gifts
Students in the Fundamentals of Technology classes built toys for the pre-school children, mirrors for the women patients and table organizers for the men patients in the long term care section of St. Mary’s Hospital. Nameplates were also made for the long-term care patients. Various students in several classes made Christmas balls for the Shelter Home Residents as well. The students delivered the presents the last day of school before Christmas vacation. The students learned a variety of skills in making these projects, as well as the importance of giving to others. The wood for the materials was donated by Bill and Connie Shuck. The Technology Student Association purchased the other materials for the presents.
