"Celebrating Agriculture in Idaho" is the theme for this year's Essay Contest for 5th & 6th Grade Students of public, private, or home school in Idaho County. The essays are judged on fact and appropriate for classroom use; 500 words or less; relate to agriculture in a positive way; neatly handwritten or typed; and suitable for publication. The deadline for submission is April 15 to the Idaho County Farm Bureau Office, 104 S. A St. Grangeville ID 83530. County winners receive $50 for first place, $25 for second place, and $10 for third place. County winners will be sent to District, where first receives $25 and second and third receive $10. Top three District entries will be sent to State where first receives $50, and second and third receive $25. There is also a gift for the winner's teacher.
