Arnzen
appointed to BHS Foundation Board
Morris Arnzen, President, Arnzen Building Construction, Inc, was recently appointed to the Benedictine Health System Foundation Board of Directors for a three-year term expiring Aug. 31, 2006. “I am honored to be selected for this position,” said Arnzen. “It is an opportunity to take advantage of the ideas being used in other facilities under the BHS umbrella and using that information to enhance our own Foundation.” Arnzen has been a member of the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation Board for the past three years. He will remain as Vice President. “While I’ve served on the board I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the hospital staff and doctors and they deserve much of the credit for the hospital’s excellent reputation in the community,” said Arnzen. “I also feel the Foundation has enhanced the communities awareness through our various social events which are aimed at people of all ages in all the communities we serve.” Last year the SMHC Foundation received two large behests in addition to a number of other charitable contributions. “We’ve seen a rise in charitable contributions to the SMH Foundation which is very rewarding. Through these generous gifts we recently helped purchase radiology equipment for the hospital,” said Arnzen. “Our fundraisers raise both money and awareness. I invite anyone who has suggestions for future fundraisers, to give me or any of the board members a call to share those ideas.” The next fundraiser planned by the SMH Foundation is a Saturday, September 18th Golf Tournament at the course in Grangeville.
