Schumacher retires
After almost 45 years of parish ministry, Father Andy Schumacher has retired to take on another facet of his calling. Hundreds of parishioners from the Tri-Parishes of Assumption, St. Anthony’s and St. Mary’s gathered on Sunday, June 27, to celebrate Fr. Andy’s priesthood and retirement. Festivities began with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Cottonwood. Following that, all were invited to the Assumption Hall, to spend the afternoon with Fr. Andy. Father had announced that he will be living in Lewiston, and in his new ministry he will become a minister to Priests.
