Boy Scout Troop 638 held a Junior Leadership Training course on Saturday, October 23, 2004. Training included the following topics: leadership, problem solving and team building skills. Scouts attending: Jason VonBargen, Kevin Karel, TC Litchfield, Garrett Workman, Kyle Bruegeman, Mike Karel, Mitchell Jungert, Reid Wendel and Ryan Dalgliesh.

Idaho County Sheriff Larry Dasenbrock and his staff took time out of their busy schedules to give the Bear Cub Den of Cottonwood Cub Scout Pack 638 a tour of the jail and Sheriff's Office. They showed the boys the dispatch center and explained why the use of 911 was important and why not playing with the phone and dialing was also very important. The boys got to see a jail cell and were shown how the inmates lived when incarcerated. Thank you to these great people for their time and enthusiasm. Shown from left are Gabe Angus, Kelzey Dvorack, Dakota Wilson, Drew Cochran, Garrison Martin, and Larry Dasenbrock.

Kim Schumacher and Cindy Schumacher, teachers at Prairie Elementary, were awarded Governor’s Innovative Grants. See article here.
