earn all A's at Prairie Middle School
Twenty-four Prairie Middle School students earned all A grades for
the first quarter of the 2004-05 school year. They were McKenzie Candalot,
Samantha Keating, MaKayla Schaeffer, Troy Lorentz, Torin Dalgliesh, Joshwa
Zigler, Monica Lustig, Justin Schmidt, Megan Sigler and Joshua Roeper in
the fifth grade; Meaghan Bruner, Madison Edwards, Seth Guyer, Brock Heath
and Michael Karel in the sixth grade; Kelly Edwards, Wyatt Williams, David
Sigler, Kelsey Marker, Derek Schaeffer and NaTosha Schaeffer in the seventh

The Prairie boys basketball team competed at the Jamboree at Kooskia

Pirates win 2 of 3, JV's win tournament
The Prairie Lady Pirates won 2 of 3 games last week, defeating Kamiah
in their opener then splitting two games in the C.V. Tip Off Tournament.

Students of the month for November at Prairie High
School are Heather Schierman and Kelby Wilson. Heather, the outstanding
student, is a leader and led the way for others to help stop harassment
at the school. She chose to take a stand and would willingly have taken
that stand by herself if needed. Kelby, the honor student, is a great student
to have. He focuses well and achieves the high goals he sets for himself.
Shown are the top sellers in the annual Chocolate
Sale fundraiser for Prairie Middle School. They are (not necessarily as
pictured) Mckenzie Candalot, Troy Lorentz, and Kaleb Marker in the 5th
grade, Lauren Beshears, Justine Fry and Sheri Schumacher in the 6th grade,
James Hager, Justina Zigler, and Casey Bruegeman in the 7th grade, and
Jennifer Enneking, Carly Behler and Britney Gehring in the 8th grade.
Carmen Koepl was the state winner in the Idaho Farm
Bureau essay contest. She won first at the county and district levels which
qualified her for state competition. Carmen, 14, lives outside of Nezperce.
She is the daughter of Andy and Michelle Koepl and granddaughter of Leona

Carl Schmidt recently received a certificate from
the International Lions Club recognizing him for his 42 years of dedication
to the Lions Club.
