Two
to compete in Hawaii over Christmas break
Ashley Schaeffer as a player and Travis Mader as a coach have been selected to compete in the Junior Olympic Fast Pitch Tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii Dec. 28-Jan. 5. Schaeffer was one of 198 players selected out of over 1200 applicants while Mader was one of 16 coaches selected out of 425 applicants. Applicants were from all over the United States, Canada and Australia. The first two days will be practice with the next 5 days consisting of a round-robin format to determine seeding into a 16-team double elimination bracket. All players are guaranteed at least 12 games with all games to be played at the Oahu Sports Complex in Honolulu. The are a couple days planned for sightseeing with one day planned for a visit to Pearl Harbor. |
