Pirates beat C.V.
The Prairie Lady Pirates had little trouble in their final game of 2004 as they breezed to a 38-18 win over Clearwater Valley at Cottonwood Tuesday, Dec. 21. Prairie held C.V. scoreless through the first quarter and well into the second as the Lady Rams had just 3 points in the first half. Prairie wasn’t exactly wearing out the scoreboard as they led just 6-0 after one quarter and 16-3 at the half. Prairie outscored the Rams just 7-6 in the third quarter before pulling away again in the fourth. Briget Long led the Prairie scoring effort with 14 points and added 9 rebounds. Brittny Behler added 6 points and 7 boards while Natalie Arnzen scored 5, Vanessa and Tabitha Sonnen 4 each, Ashley Schultz 3 and Lauren Merrill 2. With the win Prairie is 9-2 on the season with their next action coming Jan. 4 when they host Nezperce. The JV team stayed unbeaten with a 33-14 win over the Rams.
