Flu
vaccine clinics set
The North Central District Health Department will be holding additional flu clinics this month in several locations. Last week public health was notified they would be receiving flu vaccine purchased by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in Boise. This unexpected shipment of flu vaccine offers protection during the remainder of the 2004-05 flu season. Vaccinations are $16 each and individuals with Medicare/Medicaid are reminded to have their cards when they arrive. Locally a clinic is set for Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Grangeville at the Health District Office at 903 West Main from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. No appointment necessary. Kamiah is offering vaccinations by appointment only. Call 935-2124 for an appointment. Clinics are also scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Moscow, Lewiston and Orofino. The Health Department also has state vaccine available for children age 6 months to 19 years old. You must make an appointment for the children’s vaccine. |
