Greene
selected for leadership program
Dylan Greene, Cottonwood, Idaho was selected to be a part of Creighton University’s Freshmen Leadership Program (FLP). FLP is a nationally recognized program that strives to build a foundation of skills for Creighton’s future leaders. The program serves as an alternative to regular residence hall life where the 60 selected students live together in a community on the ninth floor of Kiewit Residence Hall. Throughout the year FLP students attend seminars designed to motivate and cultivate a life of leadership. The weekly seminars consist of speakers from both inside and outside the Creighton University community, as well as team-building activities, reflections, and small group discussions. Community service is an integral part of the program. Students regularly volunteer at Boys and Girls Club, Hope Center, Precious Memories and other sites around the Omaha community. One of the requirements of the program is for students to get involved in the planning of a long-term community service project. Students are selected for the program based on high school involvement, motivation, commitment and willingness to cultivate leadership potential. |
