is essay contest winner
Tessica Nuxoll of Cottonwood was the 11th grade winner in the Fleet Reserve Association’s annual Americanism Essay Contest. This year’s theme was “What My Vote Will Mean to Me.” First place winners in each grade from grades 7-12 are awarded a $100 U.S. Savings Bond. Their essays will also be forwarded to the Fleet Reserve Association Northwest Region in Seattle for competition in the Regional contest. Regional winners are forwarded to FRA National for competition. Other winners with local ties are Carmen Koepl in the 7th grade and Sandra Koepl in the 10th grade. Both are homeschooled students in the Nezperce area and are granddaughters of Leona Arnzen of Cottonwood. |
