Congratulations to Dani Terhaar and Christopher Schumacher for being selected as Prairie High School’s nomination for the Elks Teenager of the Month. Dani and Christopher, their parents, and Greg and Lydia Deiss were treated to a lovely dinner hosted by the Elks Club. The students introduced their partners so the members of the Elks could get to know the scholarship recipients on a more personal level. Students are judged on their leadership, citizenship and academic achievements. A $250.00 scholarship will be awarded to two students at the Elks Soroptomist Banquet in April where the final judging will take place. Students winning the scholarship will then go on to complete on the district level. They are shown with Kevin Asker, Exalted Ruler of the Grangeville Elks Lodge.

Dr. Haley Minnehan, SMHC, presented the TAR WARS anti-tobacco program to the fifth grade classes at Prairie Middle School last week. Booklets for the parents about 'Talking to your Child About Smoking" were also sent home with the students.
