Notes from Pat
Last Saturday, March 25, saw another good member of the area buried. For the past several months it seems we continue to bury good friends and members of the area.
Sad to see so many empty places and the loss of what they gave the community.
Be careful driving this week as the children are out of school for the week.
As they go back to school next week plans are made for Spring sports and the seniors work on their senior party and graduation programs.
Also a time to look for that summer job to help with school expenses.
A special thank you to Jerry Richardson for making the frames for the Congressional Record certificates I received in January. It is now framed and on the wall at the Chronicle.
The Lions Club is looking for the names of servicemen from the area to add to the Veteran’s Memorial at city park on Memorial Day. If you know a person to be added to the list, give Carl Schmidt or Delbert Frei a call.
This winter we have had one new business open and several have had a change of ownership. The Chronicle would like to welcome all of the new owners and we will be doing our annual Get Acquainted section for the Chronicle and Lewis County Herald. If you are interested, give me a call at 208-962-3851. Information and photos will need to be in by April 28.
The best to each of you as you prepare for Easter on April 16.
