Alzheimers
Support Group to start
St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics is sponsoring an Alzheimers Support Group the third Wednesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. in the hospital’s downstairs conference room. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 21. Everyone whose life has been touched by Alzheimers or any form of dementia is welcome to attend. “The group will focus on providing support for people who are dealing with the sometimes debilitating effects of dementia or being there for people who are in its early stages,” said Sr. Corinne Forsman, OSB, SMH Mission Director. “Sometimes a listening ear or knowing others face the same challenge is all that is needed. However, we’ll also act as resources for one another. I hope people who might need support will avail themselves of this opportunity.” Sr. Corinne will help facilitate the group with Patty Gehring, SMH Home Health, and Mark Forsmann. For more information please call SMH, 962-3251, Sr. Corinne, ext 469 or Patty Gehring, ext 246. No pre registration is necessary.
