Idaho Governor Jim Risch and his wife presented Ferdinand mayor Paul Schmidt with a check representing the $150,000 grant the city was awarded to refurbish the Ferdinand gym. See story at left. 

A royalty picnic was held Tuesday, July 18 at the Idaho County Fairgrounds with the current royalty hosting the 2005-07 candidates and their parents. Following the meal games were played and the candidates’ parents were interviewed as part of the royalty judging. 

Idaho County Fair Princesses Tabitha Seubert, left, and Tessica Nuxoll were the guest readers last week at the Prairie Community Library’s summer reading program. This week’s session is the final one this summer and will be at the city park Thursday, July 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. 

Surveys for ER, clinic and inpatients from Clearwater Valley and St. Mary's Hospitals are being mailed.  Displays are set up in many of the clinics to remind patients to mail in the completed surveys.
