Summit Academy preparing for new school year
The school year, for the students, ends in June and begins late in August.
But school related activities continue on for families and friends of Summit throughout the summertime.  Getting ready for this school term is top priority now.  Many parents and friends are coming into help on the many tasks that need to be completed before school begins.
On Mondays, Mrs.Marianne Wren has the library open until noon, come enjoy a book or offer
her library assistance (lots of new books to be catalogued and shelved).
Tuesdays Mrs. Wemhoff is around to take care of school matters and coordinate volunteers to help organize and ready the classrooms.
Thursdays Miss Elizabeth Goeckner is helping out on secretarial matters and coordinating volunteers.
Saturdays Mr. Don Kuther is coordinating strong workers for work on the new addition to complete areas before school begins! Please call him ahead of time to let him know you can work if possible.  All help is appreciated.
Registrations for new students are currently being accepted at Summit Academy.  Inquiries and questions can be directed to the office at 962-5650 or you may call Mrs. Wemhoff at home at 983-0075.
High School students should be selecting electives now.
Finally, all students and parents should mark their calendars for Monday, August 7th.  It will be a registration day for students, especially preschoolers (3 and 4 year olds), kindergarteners,
High School students, and new students.  The day will begin at 8:30 and go through 4:00, with another session to run from 6:00-9:00 pm.
Also, on Monday, August 7th, uniforms will be available for exchange. Anyone with unneeded uniforms may drop them off at Dori Schlader's home now on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10:00-2:00.  You may leave them bagged up by the garage door if they are not home.  The uniforms will all be available at Summit then on Monday, August 7th, same times as the registration schedule.
Also, below are the yearly calendar and the school supply lists.  These are to help you all get ready for our new year.
We are looking forward to a fine year!  See you in August!!!
