Golf
Scramble a success
The third annual golf scramble put on by the Prairie Booster Club was a huge success. The booster club raised $1,700 to go into the high-school uniform fund. Ten teams participated this year with a lot of cash and product donations helped to make the event a success. First place, $300, was awarded to Travis Mader, Todd Nygaard of Kamiah, Ryan Hasselstrom and Rod Forsmann of Kendrick. Second place, $200, was awarded to Steve and Verla Wilson and Dorie and Randy Foster of Lewiston with a score of 67. Third place, $100, was a fight to the finish with a three-way tie. Mark and Jessica Vanderwall and Jeff Adams of Grangeville, Bryan and Becky Higgins and Greg and Lynn Danly of Cottonwood, and The Hangout's team: Ron Schneider, Jesse Vanator, Lew Schneider and Neil Schneider of Boise tied with a score of even par, 70. Longest drive awards were given to Dorie Foster and Ryan Uhlenkott. The longest putt went to Shane Ratcliff and Kelly Bruner. The Prairie Booster Club would like to thank the Grangeville Country Club for allowing them this opportunity. Thank you also to: Southway Orthodontics of Lewiston, Arnzen Building Construction, Arnzen Super Drug, MacGregors, Asker's Harvest Foods, Cash and Carry Foods, Joe Forsmann and Associates, Long's Auto Sales, Primeland Cooperatives, Tri-Builders, Inc., Schlader Photography, Dave Snodgrass, Inland Cellular, Seeds, Inc., Intermountain Machine, Wells Fargo Bank and Les Schwab for sponsoring the 18-holes of the course.
