to have Veterans Day program
Prairie Elementary will observe Veterans Day with a musical program on Friday, November 10th at 12:30 p.m. in the Prairie Elementary Gym. All Veterans and their family members are invited. Parents are welcome to attend too. This program will focus on the Veterans and what they have done for country so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. Students will sing many patriotic songs and we will introduce the Veterans that are at the program. We will also watch a musical video called “Veterans of the U.S.A.” that was recorded by the Goad family to honor their Dad and other Veterans. It is a very moving video. Also, we will have a “Wall of Honor” featuring pictures of Veterans. Please send or email a picture of a Veteran in your family, or a friend of your family. karel@sd242.k12.id.us Let us know who the Veteran is and who they are related to or friend with, so that we may label it properly. We can also scan photos if you want your picture back. Please feel free to share this invitation with any Veteran that you might know and invite them to our program. You are invited have lunch at school that day before the program. Lunch is $2.75 for adults. Lunch is served from 11:15 until about 11:45. Please call the school by 9:00 a.m. on Friday the 10th if you plan to eat at school. Thank you Veterans - for freedom in the U.S.A.!!!! |
