St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics has received their allotment of flu vaccine.  No appointments are necessary at their Cottonwood, Nezperce or Craigmont clinics.  Walk ins are accepted.  However, appointments should be made at the Kamiah Medical Clinic, according to Shari Kuther, RN.  . . .

Diabetes program open to the public
Becky Ewing, RN, CDE, has scheduled two public presentations for anyone interested in learning more about diabetes.  Ewing is a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital and also provides individual counseling sessions for people with Diabetes through both the SMH Cottonwood Clinic and Kamiah Medical Clinic.  She is a Certified Diabetes Educator which requires passing an in-depth test, continuing education and a certain number of hours working in the field to retain the licensure. . . .

Winter arrived over the Thanksgiving weekend at Cottonwood. Shown is a scene from the Chronicle office on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Snow started accumulating in town on Thanksgiving night with about 4 inches by Friday morning. Another 6 inches fell overnight Friday with 1-2 inches more each night on Sunday and Monday. 

Head coach Jerry Uhling directs his players through a drill Monday afternoon. Behind him is new assistant coach Kevin Chaffee.
