SMHC
to host memorial service
St. Mary’s Hospital will once again host a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room to honor those in our community who have passed away during the past year. Refreshments will be served. Family members and the public are invited to attend. Participants may write the name of a loved one on the white ornament provided by the hospital or they are welcome to bring their own. The ornaments will hang throughout the holiday season on the Memorial Tree. A memorial book listing the community members who have died during the year will also be on display. Participants are welcome to bring a photo of their loved one. “When someone we love has passed away the holiday season can be a time of sadness because we miss our departed friends and family even more,” said Sr Corinne Forsman, SMHC Mission Services Director. “But it can also be a time to celebrate the happiness they brought to us and to honor their memories. I welcome people to join us in the Memorial Service. It may provide some comfort and a means of sharing our feelings about those we miss during this time of the year.” |
