Donation Given to SMH Foundation
The 1976 graduating class of Prairie High School donated the remainder of their 30 year class reunion fund to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation. This donation was made in memory of their deceased classmates; Harv Ash, Tim Baker, Jennifer Baldeck, Dave Beckman, Greg Harman, Tom Kaus, Jim Uhling and Susan Wherry. The Foundation will use the funds towards the purchase of a Memorial Board that will feature the names of family and friends who are being memorialized. “The Foundation often receives donations in memoriam of deceased family members or friends,” said Jim May, Executive Director, SMH Foundation. “Those generous donations are greatly appreciated and help support the programs and services of our hospital and clinics. We would like to honor the people who are being memorialized by developing a permanent display board listing their names.” Plans are underway to design the board which will be mounted on a wall within the facility. “The names of the deceased members of the class of 1976 will also be featured on the Memorial Board,” said May.
