Youth schedule for March
My dearest Youth in Christ, As the cold of winter leaves, we begin to long for the warmth and newness of Spring. It is in this time we are given a chance to renew ourselves and come forward with hope and anticipation. Here in this season of rebirth we begin the month of March and invite our local youth to join us in praising God through our actions and choices. On March 2nd you are invited to attend the Stations at St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. which will be followed by Soup Supper. At 8:00 p.m. we will watch a movie at Debbie's office in the rectory. At 10:00 p.m. we will go to Adoration. All High School youth are invited. On March 5th Debbie's Confirmation class will be meeting at JHPB at 7:30. Please read chapter 8 and answer questions 35-40. Holy Hero stories are due! On March 9-10 there will 18 youth and 3 adults traveling to Moscow to host and attend the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention, (ICYC). The theme for this year is "Claim it". The focus of the conference will be to help teens learn how to claim, live, and share their faith in a radical way. The weekend will offer general sessions by Apex, small group learning sessions, liturgy, reconciliation, Adoration, music, social, skits, food and more. We are truly excited to have this opportunity and we ask that you keep us in prayer throughout the weekend. (Just a side note- We are in desperate need of homemade cookies for this event. If you are able to help out please call Debbie for details) Thank you!!!! There will be no youth mass on March 10th because of ICYC. March 12-18 Debbie's week off. On March 18th the youth are asked to meet at St. Gertrude's Monastery parking lot at 1 :30 for Engaged Encounter clean up. This is a great opportunity for Confirmation youth to get in some of their community service time. Call Stacie Dinning if you have questions, 962-5373. On March 19 there will be a Bible Study at 7:30 following mass. We will finish the book of Job. Please read the last 3 chapters and be prepared to discuss. Debbie's Confirmation class will meet on March 21st at the JHPB at 7:00 p.m. Please read chapter 9 and answer questions 40-45. Letters to the Bishop are due. On March 25 we will have our monthly jam session for the high school youth at the Keuterville hall at 7:00 p.m. If you play an instrument, sing, or just want to hang out with your friends for a few hours come and join us. We would love to see you. If you have questions please call Lauretta Poxleitner 962-5679. On March 26 we will have a Renew gathering at the JHPB at 7:30 p.m. following mass. Life Issues discussed. On March 28th there will be a Junior High Bible Study hosted by the Peer Ministers at the JHPB at 7:00 p.m. Bring your friends and spend some time learning about God with High school youth!! Snacks will be provided. On March 30th at 6:00 p.m. the High School youth will be co-hosting the Stations of the Cross and soup supper along with St. Ann's guild. Please join us as we walk with Jesus on the road to Calvary and then gather together to share our sacred stories. We truly are in a blessed time and season!
