Tri-Parish
Youth activities for May
As school draws to a close and summer plans begin to take flight, we would like to invite all the youth from the local parishes to join us as the opportunities for fun, fellowship, worship, and spiritual growth call us forth. After many months- of preparation, the Confirmation candidates from Cottonwood, Keuterville, Greencreek, and Ferdinand will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation on May 7th at St. Mary's Church at 7:00 p.m. All candidates are asked to be at the church at 6:20 for a group picture. On May 6th all candidates and their sponsors are asked to attend a practice at St. Mary's Church at 7:30 p.m. Congratulations to all these young men and women as they step forward to grow in the light of the Holy Spirit and make a difference in our church! We are proud of you! (Don't forget to bring your dessert for the reception following the mass on the 7th). Refreshments will be served following the mass. Congratulations on your many accomplishments and I pray that the Lord will guide you in all your future endeavors! From May 21-24 Debbie will be attending a lay ministry retreat, which is sponsored by the Diocese of Boise at St. Gertrude's Monastery. Please keep me in your prayers during this week. On May 30th at 6:30 p.m. at the JHPB all the Jr. High youth are invited to a social to celebrate the end of school. Food and drinks will be provided. This social is hosted by the Peer Ministry Team. As we move from season to season we learn, stretch, and grow. May you hear God's call in your life and move toward that call with trust and courage. Do not be afraid to go where you haven't been before because with each step you become who you were really created to be! Have a blessed May! In Christ's love, Tri-Parish Youth Minister Debbie Chicane P.S. We will have a Relay for Life Meeting in May to plan our annual Haystack feed to raise money for cancer research. The time and date will be announced at a later date. |
