Students of the month for June at Prairie High School
are Vanessa Hylton, left, outstanding student, and Kayla Uhlenkott, honor
student. As a senior at Prairie, Kayla has excelled in her academic coursework
and in her extracurricular activities. Kayla is receiving high honors in
her senior class and has been a great asset to our school and to the Senior
Class of 2007. Kayla recently returned from New York City after attending
the National Business Professionals of America conference; she was part
of the state dance team this spring and has been an avid 4-H member. Vanessa
is a terrific aide. Not only does she do what's asked of her, she goes
the second mile and finds things to do that make the elementary school
library a more enjoyable place to be. She often asks if there is more that
she can do; how rare and wonderful is that?
