passes with 70% yes vote
The $198,000 override levy for school district #242 passed with over 70% yes votes in the election held last Tuesday, May 15. Out of 412 votes cast, 289 voted yes and 123 voted no for a 70.1% yes majority. The 412 voters represented about 29% of voters registered in the district. The breakdown of the vote by trustee zone is as follows: Greencreek Zone #1-76 yes, 22 no. Those voting in Greencreek were 49 yes, 15 no and those from Zone #1 voting in Cottonwood were 27 yes, 7 no. Cottonwood Zone #2-77 yes, 18 no. Cottonwood Zone #3-38 yes, 11 no. Keuterville Zone #4-66 yes, 34 no. Those voting in Keuterville were 48 yes, 23 no and those residing in Zone #4 who voted in Cottonwood were 18 yes, 11 no. Ferdinand Zone #5-32 yes, 38 no. Those voting in Ferdinand were 17 yes, 22 no. Those residing in Zone #5 that voted in Cottonwood were 15 yes, 16 no. |
