Local team places third
The Pacific Cabinets Tigers took third in the local Little League tournament this past week.
The team played 5 games in the tournament, winning 3 and losing 2.
In their opening game they beat Nezperce 14-2 then lost to Cottonwood 1 6 to 7.
Their third game was a wild one as they trailed 4-13 in the fourth inning but came back to win 14-13 in the bottom of the fifth.
In their fourth game they beat Kooskia 3-1 before losing to Cottonwood 1 again 9-16.
Head coach John Mager would like to thank Steve Frei from P.C.I. for sponsoring the team and providing hats this year. It is nice to know that there are people still out there that care for our youth. Mager would also like to thank Joe Ross and John Frei for helping with the team as well. Not pictured but deserving thanks as well is Jennifer Cochran for keeping the scorebook. Thanks also to Scot Schlader for putting on the tournament.
“I had a great time this year and I am proud of how hard they played this year. Our motto was “Never Give Up” and it showed,” said coach Mager.
