improvement loans for low income homeowners
USDA Rural Development continues to offer its Section 504 repair program to very low income homeowners. Repairs may include but are not limited to roofing, heating systems, plumbing and electrical, ramps for people with disabilities. General eligibility guidelines are title ownership of the property, credit history and income limits. Loans can be up to $20,000.00 with a term of 20 years at 1% interest.
