Meza,
Masar named 'Health Care Heroes'
The Idaho Business Review has named Dr. Maurice Masar and Casey Meza as Health Care Hero honorees. According to the Review, the statewide awards program was developed to honor and recognize Idaho organizations and individuals in the health care industry who have had significant impact on the quality of health care in Idaho. Dr. Masar serves on the joint Board of Trustees and Meza is the Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Masar is an honoree in the volunteer category and Meza in the professional category. The awards are presented in conjunction with the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Hospital Association, Regence Blue Shield of Idaho, Idaho State University and others. Three honorees are chosen in eight separate categories. One of the three honorees in each category will receive the Top Honor at an awards banquet in Boise on September 20th. All honorees will be featured in the September issue of the Idaho Business Review. “Both Dr. Masar and myself understand this honor is the result of the hard work of each and every provider, board member and staff person at each facility,” said Meza. “Across the state our hospitals and clinics are being recognized for the quality of medical care being provided during challenging times in rural health care. This honor is definitely also shared with our patients who continue to place their confidence in us.” |
