Lady Pirates lose 3 matches, start District on Saturday; Spirit Night winners named

The Grangeville Elks#1825 has begun to distribute the 3rd grade dictionaries to area schools. Shown are Leading Knight Jay Hinterlong and the students from Summit Academy (bottom photo) and Prairie Elementary schools (top photo) in Cottonwood.

For the twelfth year in a row, St. Mary's Hospital and Clinics provided sports physicals for the area students.  The students were charged $25.00 for the physical, of which $15.00 is donated back to the athletic department of their respective schools.  These physicals are required by the Idaho High School Athletic Association.  This year 161 area students received physicals at one of St. Mary's Clinics with a total of $2415.00 being donated back to their schools.
St. Mary's Hospital and Clinics would like to wish all the area athletics the best of luck in the upcoming school year. In the top two photos Jessica Gehring, student body president, and Travis Mader, athletic director, show the $35check received by Prairie High School and MaKayla Schaeffer, student body president and Rene' Forsmann, principal, show the$660 check received by Prairie Middle School. In the lower photo Dave Goeckner, principal, and Danielle Stubbers, student body president, show the $90 check received by Summit Academy.
