Annual Ms. Prairie pageant held
 The
turnout was, once again, fairly large with quite a few contestants and
many supporters. The brave girls who strutted their stuff this year were
returning Ms. Prairie, Kristin Hill, Chelsea Long, Amber Frei, Carly Behler,
Justina Zigler, Kylee Simmons, Alejandra Abrego, Kristin Buescher, Lindsay
Heitman, Michelle Gehring, and Merannda Chaffee. The top three girls in
the casual wear, beach wear, and formal wear categories continued on to
the interview. The top three girls were Chelsea Long, Michelle Gehring,
and Alejandra Abrego.
After they were announced the girls had to answer three questions: If you could be on the cover of a magazine, which would it be and why? If you could pick one object to represent you, what would it be and why? If you could help fight or support one cause, which would it be and why? After the interview was completed, the judges deliberated and the new Ms. Prairie was crowned. Alejandra Abrego was crowned Ms. Prairie, Chelsea Long received first runner up and Michelle Gehring took home the second runner-up prize. The night was a huge success. The Mr. Prairie Pageant will be held in the spring. It will hopefully be as great of a success as the Ms. Prairie Pageant!
