SMHC
and Monastery offer to host meeting
Representatives from St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Gertrude’s Monastery in Cottonwood have offered to host a meeting for people interested in exploring investment opportunities to build and administer a retirement/assisted living center in the area. “Due to the reimbursement structure for acute care facilities such as our hospital, it is not financially feasible for St. Mary’s to consider building and administering a long term care or assisted living facility,” said Casey Meza, CEO, SMHC. “However, our hospital and the monastery would be happy to facilitate a meeting with possible investors to get them started. We would also invite people who could provide advice on investing, building and administering a retirement center in our area.” Any one interested in investing and pursuing the construction and administration of a retirement/assisted living center in the area should call and leave their name and phone number with the SMHC switchboard, 962-3251. “A number of people have expressed interest in having a retirement center in this area. We would like to invite anyone willing to invest or explore that possibility and put them at the same table with people with some expertise,” said Meza. “St. Mary’s Hospital and St. Gertrude’s Monastery would be more than willing to host such a meeting.” |
