SMHC
to host Christmas open house
St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will host their second annual Christmas Open House on Wednesday, December 19th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Cottonwood clinic reception area. The community is invited to share in the holiday season with the employees, health care providers and foundation and hospital board members. A group of elementary and middle school students will provide Christmas caroling under the direction of Laura Karel, music teacher for the Cottonwood School District, at the beginning of the holiday reception. “It will be fun to have the children join us for awhile after they caroled in the hospital hallways. We’ll also have refreshments and lots of holiday cheer,” said Jim May, SMHC Foundation Development Director. “It’s a special time of year and we like to share the spirit with those we serve throughout the year. We also welcome new people to the area and suggest they use this opportunity to visit our facility and get to know us before they may need us.” The reception area will be decorated with holiday decorations and festive items. “Last year lots of people stopped in to share some snacks and get to know our staff and volunteers a bit better. It’s nice to mingle in a social setting when you are used to seeing people in their work environment,” said May. “I hope everyone feels welcome and plans on attending.” |
