Students of the month for May are: Abbigail Lustig, Lauren Duman and Randi Schumacher. Lady Pirates win two at districts with Lewis County scoring 23-0 and with Genessee scoring 16-1. The Lady Pirates defeated Culdesac 15-0 to win the district title. Receiving 4-H Scholarships were Kylie Uhlorn and Carolyn Sonnen. Students of the month for June at Prairie High School were Vanessa Hylton and Kayla Uhlenkott. Thirty-eight to graduate Friday, May 25th. Deaths Gertrude F. Link, 79, died April 26. She was born Feb. 12, 1928 in Germany. Tom Nuxoll, 73, died April 28. He was born Nov. 3, `933 at Greencreek. James H. Nuxoll, 74, died April 30. Jim was born Feb. 12, 1933 in Greencreek. George A. Todd, 69, died May 5. He was born March 28, 1938 in Colorado. He had owned the Royal Room and Café for a number of years. Births Cora Jean Moses was born Feb. 6, 2007 to Scott and Bonnie Moses of Victor, ID. Spencer Michael Florenza was born April 2 to Matt and Brandy Florenza of Boise. Kamryn Jace Forsmann was born April 27 to Jamie and Dusty Forsmann of Clarkston, WA. Engagement Clark Ryan Lynde of Elko, Nevada and Tracy LeeAnn Baerlocher of Lewiston to wed June 23. Story is continued about the history of the city volunteer fire department as it celebrates 100 years of service to the community. Greg Wherry of the Cottonwood Chronicle receives booster of the year award from the Prairie Booster Club. Dr. Andrew Jones receives the Idaho Family Physician of the Year Award presented by the group president Dr. Epperly. Deaths: Albert L. Wessels, 48, died May 20. He was born in Cottonwood on August 18, 1958. Raymond I. Duclos, 82, died June 4. He was born to J. Matt and Rose Duclos August 15, 1924. Joseph P. Bieker, 99, died June 24. He was born on March 27, 1908 in Subliminty Oregon. Timothy M. Reis, 92, died June 27 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born March 4, 1915 in North Dakota. Thomas Francis Ross, Sr., 51, died June 17. He was born March 6, 1956, in Cottonwood. Births: Aubree Ella Rehder born May 3, 2007 to Jon and Renee Rehder of Meridian, ID. Mark Stephen Goeckner born June 5, to Stephen and Deanna Goeckner of Cottonwood. Anniversaries: Ralph and Joyce Lorentz to celebrated 50 years together June 23 in Ferdinand. Bob and Francis Tatko to note 50 years together June 17 with a party at the Craigmont City Hall. Bernard and Isabel Kaschmitter to celebrate 50 years together June 30 with a party at the Keuterville Parish Hall. She was born December 17, 1924 in Iowa. June I. Miller, 83, died July 14, 2007 at the family home at Craigmont. She was born June 25, 1924 in Lewiston. Edmund L. Schumacher, 79, died July 17, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1927 in Greencreek. He was a gifted story teller and wood worker. Birthday: Helen T. Nuxoll celebrates 95 year in Grangeville. Anniversary: Gene and Mary K. Kee celebrate 50 years together June 24 at their home in Nebraska. Thom and Sandy Ranson celebrate 30 years together on July 2.
