Three
earn wins at Kamiah meet
Kyler Shumway in the shot put, David Sigler in the 300 hurdles and Betty Clark in the 3200 picked up wins at an 11-school track meet at Kamiah Thursday, March 20. Shumway won the shot put with a mark of 49’9”, Sigler won the 300 hurdles in 44.3 and Clark won the 3200 in 14:31.2. The only other top 3 finisher for the girls was the 4x200 relay team of Amber Frei, Kylee Simmons, Katie Nuxoll and NaTosha Schaeffer, which took third place with a time of 2:04.9. Also in the top 3 for the boys were Devin Schmidt, 2nd in the 400 in 57.5, Brock Heath, 2nd in the 3200 in 10:59.6 as he outkicked Highland’s Gary Maas to edge him at the tape and the 4x200 relay team of Sigler, Kris Banning, Jon Rice and Schmidt took second in 1:41.3. As a team the girls scored 51 points good for 6th and the boys scored 70, good for 7th.
