– Suicide Awareness Month
SPAN (Suicide Prevention Action Network) Idaho has been working on many projects and wanted to share with the Community different events that will be happening this month. On April 14th at 7:00 p.m. Steve Button will be presenting a QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) workshop for Jr. High and High school students. This will be presented at the Release time room at the middle school in Cottonwood. If interested please contact Debbie Chicane at 962-7151. “Suicide in the Veteran Population, Risk and Prevention” – This presentation will be held at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, on April 17th at 7:00 p.m. The speaker will be Carolyn Torms. The Fourth Annual Memorial walk in remembrance of those we have lost to suicide will be held at Pioneer Park in Lewiston on April 24th at 5:30 p.m. Please bring a pair of new or slightly used shoes to donate.
