Heath pick up wins
Kenneth Enneking in the discus and Brock Heath in the 1600 each picked up wins at a multi-school track meet at Kamiah Tuesday, April 8. Enneking won the discus with a personal best of 1310 while Heath won the 1600 in 5:01.3. Boys also placing among the top 3 in their events were David Sigler who took second in the 200 at 24.6 and third in the 300 hurdles in 44.3 and Devin Schmidt who was third in the 400 in 56.6 and third in the long jump at 186½. Prairies 4x200 relay team also place second with a time of 1:40.7, just nosing out a Nezperce team which had the same time. For the girls team Kaylee Uhlenkott threw a season best of 368½ to take second in the shot put. Also the girls 4x200 relay team took second place with a time of 2:00.8. The girls team placed 4th among 12 girls teams, first among those from 1A schools, with 68 points. The boys team also scored 68 points to place fourth among 11 schools and were second among 1A schools to Highland. Shumway extends school record Kyler Shumway broke his own school record in the shot put to win at the Clearwater River Invitational track meet at Kamiah Saturday, April 12. His mark of 531 broke the record he set a little over a week ago by 6 inches. David Sigler placed fourth in the 300 hurdles in 44.4 and Brock Heath was fourth in the 1600 in 4:58.0 as Prairie scored 32 points as a team. For the girls Kaylee Uhlenkott had a new season best mark in the shot put at 391 to take second. Her mark was just 1½ of the personal best she set at state last year. She was the girls only top 4 finisher at the meet as they posted 14 points as a team. There were 18 girls teams and 19 boys teams that scored at the event.
