Ministry activities for May
As the final days of school are anticipated by the youth, an excitement and energy toward thoughts of fun in. the sun become evident. It is in the midst of this energy that the youth are invited to join us in the Tri-Parish activities for May. WEEK 1- All High School youth are invited to watch a movie on May 2nd at the J.H.P.B at 8:00 pm. Following the movie, we will attend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Mary's Church. Come and see what the Lord has to offer! The girls Bible Study will meet on May 5th at Debbie's office, at 7:00 pm. Please bring your books. On May 7th, at 7:00 pm we will have an information/planning meeting for the youth who will be involved in the Catholic Relief Service-30 Hour Fast that will take place in June, date will be announced later. All participants are asked to attend! WEEK 2- On May 13th, the Peer Ministers will meet at Debbie's office, at 3 :30 pm to plan the monthly REACH session. On May 14th, the small group studying "Theology of the Body" will meet at Debbie's office from 4:30-7:30 pm. Pizza will be provided. Please remember to bring your book! On May 17th, Debbie will be attending a parish leader seminar at the Spirit Center from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Please keep all of our parish leaders and pastoral council in your prayers on this day. Also on the 17th, the Team for Africa will host a yard sale. If you have items you would like to contribute please call Debbie at 962-7761 or Samantha at 507-1034. The time and location will be announced later. Thank you for your support! WEEK 3- On May 18th, the Seniors of Prairie High School and Summit Academy will be honored at the 8:00 a.m. Mass, everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. A reception will follow the mass. On May 19th, the Team for Africa will meet at 7:00 pm at . the J.H.P.B., for a presentation on the Tanzanian culture. All members must be present. We will also begin filling out VISA information, so bring your paperwork. We will also plan our May and June fundraisers. On May 21st, at 7:00 pm, the peer ministers will host the "REACH" for the Jr. High and High Scho01 youth. WEEK 4- On May 28th, at 6:00 pm we will have an ice-cream social to celebrate the beginning of summer, at the Coffee Mill. Please bring $5.00 to create your own sundae. Everyone is invited! On May 30th, there will be Prairie graduation at the High Scho01 gym. We wou1d Hke to thank the seniors for their service and contribution to our parishes and the youth ministry program over the years. We wish you the best and please remember that you are very much loved and will be missed tremendously! May God bless you in all you do!
