Tiffany Schaeffer hoists the state championship trophy in celebration after the senior members of the team accepted the trophy from the tournament director. From left are Alli Holthaus, Kim Schaeffer, Tiffany Schaeffer and Brooke Holthaus. See story below left.

Students of the month for April at PHS are Nick Johnson and Chantel Boniecki. Nick is a personable young man with great potential. He has worked hard both in school and in the community, and makes friends wherever he goes. He stays focused on his goals, and is willing to do what’s necessary to achieve those goals. He is well-liked by his peers and the faculty, and is an excellent representative of  the prairie community. With this being Chantel’s senior year, teachers have noticed some great changes with her. Chantel handles situations, extracurricular activities, work, and friendships with a maturity that truly impresses the PHS faculty. She also has committed herself to obtaining a higher GPA, and we see her following through with that commitment.  She spends her few spare moments studying, working in the library, and asking for extra help. Good luck on all of your future endeavors, Chantel.
